Shortly, following the conclusion of the war in the Far East,my Mobile Signals Unit was sent to Rangoon.

Whilst there, all the Jewish Sevicemen, from the army and RAF, were visited by the Jewish Padre, Captain Yaffe. He had organised a Moral Leadership course in Maymyo, which is in the North of Burmah, in the mountains.

Coming from Central Burmah, and having been faced with a very hot and humid climate, it was a relief to transfer to the mountains, where the climate was similar to an English Spring.

There were 16 servicemen on this course, which was very interesting and enlightening.
It was a very wonderful experience for us all, and one that remains with me 60 years later.

I would like to make contact with any of my friends on this course with me, as we could reminisce on the fantastic experience. I can be contacted at the following email: lakeview7@aol.com
