Walking along a road with my Grandmother, we encounted a Prisoner of War.My Grandmother wished him a 'Merry Christmas.'She hated Germans, after all she was a widow, and her only son was away in the army, she feared for his life.Years later, I asked her what made her do this,'He was a young man far from home and I knew his mother would be wondereing about him,I wished him a merry christmas for her.'was her reply.I think this is a wonderfull example of true Christmas spirit.
