I am a third year university student currently researching my dissertation. My dissertation is entitled, How Did WW2 Affect Women's Fashion? I was wondering if anyone had any accounts of clothing related issues before, during and after the second world war. Stories about rationing, Make Do and Mend and solutions used to overcome problems such as lack of nylon stockings and new fabrics. Any information would be much appreciated.

hi, i am currently researching womens fashions and beauty during ww2. i am hoping to track the changes in their gender by looking at fashion. can anyone help?? any info or stories on fashions/beauty would be hugely appreciated.
