19th Field Regt., R.A 1939/45, Old Comrades Association. Annual Reunion Dinner
My Grandad fought during the war, and we have a few of his things in a case; his soldier's pay book, a copy of his army medical records, and a few old photographs.
His name was Benny Nowell and he was a sergeant from Yorkshire. He served with 19th Field Regt. R.A. throughout the war.
They were part of the British 1st Infantry division and fought in France in 1940, in Tunisia, in Italy, and finally ending up in Palestine in 1945.
Anyway, one of the photographs we have is a large tattered old print, which might be of interest to other users of this website. It looks to have been taken at a reunion dinner, possibly on the 24th January, 1959 at the Victory Ex-Services Club, Seymour Street, Marble Arch, London.
