My father was in Burma - I presume he was fighting whatever the Japanese were doing. The Japanese were out there as well. The Japanese were very cruel and dug holes for soldiers to fall down and they sometimes put stakes (pieces of wood with pointed ends) for maximum injury. Some people were killed though falling down them.
