I was fourteen years old and i remember going to a Miss Frazer in Philip street in St Helier to get a meal of cold meat and salad. The boys had to go to a place called Chelsea House for their meals, this was because we had no way of cooking at home, there was no light and very little food.In 1944 we each recieved a parcel from the red cross.I remember mum being ill because she would give us, me and my four brothers and sisters, her food.I remember my mother fainting from lack of food
