This are poem was written during the war by George Smith of Hull and sumbitted by his daughter Janet.
The key to your heart
Is a gift from above,
So open your arms,
Don't lock up your love.
The arrows of Cupid,
Will tear you apart,
But the love they carry
Will open your heart.
The key is borne gently,
On the wings of a dove,
So open up your heart,
Don't lock up your love.
There's love in your heart
So let it be free,
So open in slowly,
But don't lose the key.
