When I was in Nottingham on embarkation leave I saw this picture in the window of the Notts Evening Post and Journal office on Parliament Street. I was dumbfounded - so were they.
(A picture of Gladys as a Royal Naval teleprinter operator at work during a visit to a signal station in Scotland.)
