The Warsprite was off Solerno for her fire power. She was anchored of Solerno. She had 15 inch guns. The story goes that they wore out the gun barrels in constant firing. She got hit and went on tow to Malta for repairs. The direct hit went through four decks - putting her low in the waterline. While under tow teh Germans still tried to finish her off. All her hatches were locked. When they got to Malta the sailors had to go down and gather up the bodies. Many of the bodies were in pieces.
