During the war my father worked as a copper plate engraver with the Admiralty. The charts for sea faring people had to be kept fully up to date with all the wrecks that occured at the time.
Due to this we moved from Edinburgh to London, and then later moved again to Exeter. At the time we were heavily bombed.
During the bombing in Exeter my father moved our family back up to Edinburgh to stay.
