My parents and brother and I went to the Lickey Hills every night when the bombing was on. My grandfather and others stayed at home that night. They also went to Earlswood sometimes. The night our house was bombed my grandfather, auntie and three others died. They didn鈥檛 go that night because my uncle was on leave and they were celebrating in the Moseley Arms. Five in all died. When we came back in the morning we could see the skyline had changed, where there was once homes there was nothing. All five bodies were laid out on the pavement. I was 10 years old.
