At sunday school, pupil's were asked to invite or adopt a Canadian Soldier to come to our home. They were camped in the New Forest in February 1944. The three brothers came to sunday tea and they could visit whenever they had a day off and came into Lymington Town Hampshire. The Canadian soldier owned a camera which our family did not have. Ernest and Rosemary Broomfield were out to play with pram's and doll's when he came around the corner of our road and took a snap of us. Then he presented us with a photo of himself on his tank. On my cardigan I had red white and blue patriotic buttons.
