At the age of 11, in 1943, I was playing outside looking at Tehidy Wood. When a parachute suddenly landed at Three Bargate. I saw a man land in the wood and ran to tell my mother who went to the Police Station in Camborne. The policemen came back to question me. They later found the man but nothing more was said about the matter.
