My father was in the 1914-18 war from Liverpool. Born in 1898. He was 16 years old when entered service. He was in a Belguim hospital treated for shrapnel wounds. He was in a Liverpool regiment. After the war he was a ledger clerk at Liverpool Cotton Exchange. William Patterson Thomas Smith, died 70yrs,
From daughter, Wendy Smith aged 67yrs.
My memory of 2nd World War was seeing the children in bunkbeds on the underground platforms as we went back to Meols on the train.
