I had arrived home from school and was in the garden. Suddenly a Lancaster Bomber appeared in the sky, it was flying very low with smoke billowing from it and was heading towards Long Knowle Lane. A few seconds/minute later the plane crashed in the distance. I got on my bicycle and travelled towards where the plane had crashed, the site being near Lichfield Road. I was not allowed near the scene, by the time I arrived police were guarding the site to prevent people going to close. Sadly all crew of seven were killed in the crash.
