Many things happened in Britain, as it was an island, most of the countries imports came across the channel or the atlantic sea from the Americans. The Germas were adding to their fleets and sending them out to stop British trade. Oranges, coffee and many other foreign goods from countries such as the USA, South America and Italy were rationed so that they would last until the next lucky trade ship got to Britain. Many other things were rationed such as underwear and all clothing. Many British produced food s were also rationed including eggs, pork, beef and chicken. These were as they were needed overseas to help soldiers in trenches. London was one of the most badly hit cities in the south, as the capital of Britain, the Germans and Hitler thought it was a good dea to attack the capital and the south as they were the most important county's in Britain as they sent men over to help the french. As there was not enough room in London to grow food many people took to leaving the country to get to safety and peace from the bomb raids. Many battles were fought in London; not on the ground bu tin the sky, this was the first war to use planes to fight in the air and and bomb cities.
