People had to hide underground, they could hear bombs falling on top. People were frightened

When it was night time they weren't allowed to swith on any kind of lights not even a torch, otherwise the attackers would know were they were and start to bomb them.

People couldn't talk freely because Germans would hear, letters would be read first by the Germans.You were only allowed to have a certain amount of money.
