'To The Women of Britain'

You women of Britain are doing their bit.
Each in you own different way.
So here's to you all, from one of the lads are some thanks, I'd like to convey.

Here's 'Good Luck' to you all. Where'ere you may be.
Whether feeding the troops in some canteen.
Or helping to make a bomb.

You may work in a factory, or out in the fields.
Or elsewhere in the forces by now.
But where'ere you are, your helping win this war.
And that's something to be proud of just now.

Well even good verses must come to an end.
And 'though mine aren't in that class'
I hope they show, the things that we owe to the BRITISH WORKING LASS!
