Henry Samuel Stevens

Trying to trace relatives of Henry Samuel Stevens. Married Clarrisa Ellen Merrilees.

Henry had a sister Florence Jemmitt and a Sister Miss Olive Stevens a nephew George William Stevens.

Henry lived at 75 Baron Gdns Barkingside,Ilford Essex. Henry died 20th Nov 1973.

Message 1 - Uniform

He seems to be wearing a WW1 uniform. The WW2 battledress tunic had smaller buttons, larger collar, pointed pocket flaps, pockets flat. A 1937 example can be seen here ^{About links} Later the buttons were all covered over as seen here ^{About links} although some infantry regiments kept the uncovered buttons right through WW2 and beyond.
