I was born in Portsmouth in 1922 and joined the Women's Land Army in August 1942. I first worked in Andover then moved to Devon where I worked doing gangwork in fields in Yealmpton. I was then a supervisor in Totnes

I left the Land Army in 1948 and settled with my family in Devon where I still live today.
