I was eleven years old and in Coventry we had the trams blown up. Buses were sent from London , Manchester , Southend. They were painted grey so that they couldn鈥檛 be seen from the air. British Home Stores was made into a church. Marks&Spencer's moved to Brandish鈥檚 car show room.
