‘ This story was submitted to the People’s War site by Dorothy Donn of Renfrewshire Libraries on behalf of Gorman McGee and has been added to the site with his/her permission. The author fully understands the site’s terms and conditions.’

There was a strange happening at one time when the villagers awoke to find that there had been a deluge of silver foil during the night. By memory the pieces measured something like nine inches long and half an inch wide, possibly some experimentation regarding radar. Cathy McManus can recall fashioning rings for her finger from it.
