My home was in Carrickfergus where I met a soldier in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment who was stationed there. We went to the same church and got on well, but I had to return to my duties in the Airforce so didn't think I would see him again.
In 1942 I was in Great Yarmouth and accidentally backed into the person behind me. To my surprise it was the same soldier. We had tea, went to the pictures and agreed to keep in touch.
We were married in 1943.
