"Ransom and Marls" was a ball baring factory in Newark, because they were working for the war effort they did not call up people who already worked there. My father, sister, brother-in-law worked there. My sister was wounded but she lived through it. She was caught in a blast and it had blown one of her stockings off, left one on. One shoe on one shoe off. You don't know what it was like until you lived through a blast. The whole factory was camoflaged, painted, you can still see it. Ransom and Marls seemed to be the main target and they left Newark alone after that.
