The German Spy in the Ammunition Factory

This story was submitted to the Peoples’ War site by a volunteer on behalf of
Mrs B. Brock and has been added to the site with her permission.
Mrs B. Brock fully understands the site’s terms and conditions.

My aunt who is 96 years old now, was working in the ammunition factory in Old Kent Road. The factory was frequently hit by bombs. It transpired that one of the workers was a German spy. The other workers were not aware of this, because he spoke good English. My aunt says that they later found out that he had been going on to the roof of the ammunition factory and directing them to different places in London to bomb. My aunt has told me this story many times.
