May I have this dance?

I found this photo among the personal effects of my late father in law (Jimmy Morris) after he died, it is from his days in the Royal navy 1939 -1952 he was on the Nelson, Indefatigable, Howe as a Stoker then Petty Officer Stoker Mechanic.

The scene looks as if it is some sort entertainment show, I am not sure who the sailor in the dress but if anyone recognises him I would love to hear from them.
