I had a cousin in the Land Army. My aunt had 6 lads and one girl in the forces, the girl in the land army and the lads in the forces. One got killed in Arnham, he was only 17 years old. All the others were alright. At the end he apparently said I don’t like those long things — meaning the bayonets
