I remember the air-raid shelter at school and also one at the top of Birchway Avenue.
I'm still griends of Pat Rourke who was in my class, we used to play together.
My grandparents lived in Bolton, and we used to go over on the train, we used to love the corridor trains.
Another memory was sleeping under the ktichen table, during the air-raids! we sometimes went to Manchester to visit an aunt, she lived in Harper Hey, we saw all the barrage balloons all over the city skyline!
