It was 1940 I think – I was down in Luton with an aunt who lived there. I’d be ten years old- I was there a week and I fell madly in love with a local nine year old lass. But Hitler went and invaded the Low Countries and there was a message on the radio that all children had to go back to their school- so I had to go back to Blackburn straight away and never had the chance to further my ambitions- and I never saw her again. Regardless of what other people felt about our Adolf I had me own reasons to hate him!
