flying officer naresh kumar of the RIAF was among the few indians ( who were British subjects in those days)joined up in 1942
He was killed over London in jan 1944.

He was my Dad's elder brother, only 26, and was due to return to India to marry my Mom.
My parents are no more, but all through their life, they often wondered what my uncle had been thinking before he died.
He was so full of life, a zoologist by profession, he chose to volunteer to serve the cause of the fight against Herr Hitler.
I am still trying to find details of his death, but will succeed one day.

A few survivors are perhaps left living today, who might have known him, and it would be nice to learn what life was like during that year, when operation Overlord was being planned; put off till June 1944.
