I was in Italy deployed to assist Martial Tetoe's partisans in the Adriatic Islands, Vis and Korcula.
Tito's Forces were supported by Churchill in the war against Germany. We were deployed with the 8th Army for the finish of the war and finished up in Trieste when peace was declared!
So much had happened, it took a long time to sink in. What could you celebrate? I was just pleased to be in one peace.
