We had a couple of bombs dropped in the village.
I was at home.
We were told that one wasn't aiming at us but was instead just dropping off it's load before flying back.
One bull was killed, but there was no loss of human life.
We all had a look - for us children it was exciting.
There was an air raid shelter near to us but we didn't use it.
I had been in it though.
If you had any heavy furniture, you would pull it away from the wall. We had a piano and my mum would put a couple of matresses down with something over us.
We would see the skies light up in Coventry.
