At the start of the war they filled the bunkers of Moor Park Golf Course with concrete and as it was drying they set a massive radius into it. They were a 360掳 circle of bronze with a huge arm stuck up in the middle. They looked quite strange dotted around the course!
Then the next week, anti aircraft guns were fixed to each of them and then the ATS women arrived. All through the war they manned the guns every night. It seemed these women ran the whole operation.
