I was born in 1944 so my memories are what my parents told me.
Dad farmed Trerair Farm St Eval which was between St Merryn Airfield and St Eval Airfield.
The MOD took 70 acres of the farm for the airfield and all the houses around St Eval Church were demolished for the airfield.
They remember the British aircraft coming back to base with the Jerrys behind.
They told me how frightening it was.
