When the war finished I was sent to the far east for the Victory Parade at Jahoo Borra near Singapore.
An admiral had a white charger and as the parade got underway every time the horse moved forward he let one off!!
I was marching right behind for me it was the best laugh of the war.
During the war I was staioned in Scotland in the medical core of the mountaineering division. At one point I was ordered to look after a Brigadere who was suffering from the DT's.
I was on the second crossing and left the forces in 1946.
