Fran is the Great Great Auntie of Ryan Walters who has typed this story up from notes given to him by Fran.
Born at Pit Lane, Ripley, Derbyshireon the 3 July 1919, maiden name Wilby. Moved to Long Eaton at age of 11 years. Her Dad was moved because he worked for the railway . Lived at Trenton Cottages (now ASDA) Left school at 14years to work at Elson Robins and Woolworth at the Weekends. Married Raymond Hull June lst1939at age of 20 years lived at 152 Granville Ave. Had three sons:

David born 6.11.1944
Kevin born 19.9.1956
Husband did not go to war because he worked for railway. Fran still worked in the war at Elson Robins until she had her first son On V.E.Day still living at Granville Ave. they had a street party. All the neighbours took food and what they could because of the rations and not much food about. Fran will be 86 in July when asked about the war and what she can remember say's just trying to make the food go round with 2 small children and it was not so hard for her as her husband did not have to go to war.
