This story has been submitted to the website by 大象传媒 Radio Cornwall CSV Action Volunteer Olivia Davey on behalf of the author Brian Broadbank. The author understands the site鈥檚 terms and conditions.

As kids in Finchley, North London we saw a landmine on a parachute. It floated down and landed on the weather vane on top of the church spire. It was caught by its parachute and floated with the wind round the spire one way and then back round the other. We thought it very funny but the police were cross with us as it could have blown up. However it turned out to be a dud and never went off.
