I remember in October 1941 I was eighteen. At the time I was working as part of a typing pool. There were six of us all doing the same kind of work.
I was working for Flight Luitenant Hugh Thomas Morgan. I answered his personal letters, and recorded the arrival and departure of aircraft.
On a Wednesday nights there were dances, and I had the time of my life with all the service personnel stationed in Dumfries.
