My mother, two brothers and I moved to stay with an aunt in Staines in a road off The Causeway because we had nowhere to stay because our house had been flattened in Ruislip.
We were there only one night because of an Italian bomber which was tyring to bomb the Lagonda factory half a mile away! The bombs landed adjacent to my auntie's house and blew out all the windows and doors.
I thought I'd done something to offend "him" you know...it became rather personal!
