I lived in Warrington till i was 18, then i joined the WLA and was moved to Farndon. I lived in a hut with 20 other girls and worked on a local farm from 6 o'clock till 10 o'clock at night. I ploughed fields, milked cows and looked after Horses. I had to ride a big Cart Horse to the Blacksmith.
I met a young man called Frank who was in the army and we fell in love and got married. I have lived in Farndon since then.
