I well remember singing "Ten Green Bottles" down the shelter sunk into the grass area to the right of the entrance of Felixstowe Town Central School (opposite the Railway Station). I remember going down the concrete steps and sitting in two lines, each side of the passage with the teacher getting us to sing. We had no idea of just how serious it all was and the danger we were in.
