Monday 1st March very nice morning op cancelled situation most of Jerry surrounded. Stukas been dropping food for them but our men got there first….
Tuesday 2nd another nice day , had a look over a Churchill Tank Fortresses flying over plenty of our artillery banging away…
Wednesday 3rd a nice day plenty of air activity ours and Jerry also plenty of shells flying around…..
Thursday 4th weather lovely the same as yesterday 1 Stuka shot down by Spitfires….
Friday 5th nice morning no action rain during the night…..
Saturday 6th another lovely day 6 messasmit came over in the morning that was all…
Sunday 7th lovely day a few planes over some of both sides, shelling at night ……
Monday 8th six FW over in morning guns engaged , then spitfires on patrol nearly all day…..
Tuesday 9th a bit dull this morning nothing much doing …….
Wednesday 10th once again a lovely day plenty of our planes over 12 Fortresses and escort over in the afternoon, plenty of smoke from over Tunis way. Messasmit attack them on the way back, could hear guns but they were above the clouds. 12 MK 9 Spits
went over more in the night….
Thursday 11th lovely day very quite , in new position…..
Friday 12th rain last night but OK this morning we are within a few hundred yards of 25lb 5.5, 7.2 field artillery after waking us up in the night, but it is a change to hear the shells whistling away from us and not coming , no Jerry planes all ours…..
Saturday 13th very hot today also quite . just heard that the Fortresses that went over Wednesday knocked out 6 messasmit ,rumbling just started in the distance sounds like tanks….
Sunday 14th rained all day nothing to do our artillery opened up in the evening, And do they make a Crack …..
Monday 15th a bit better today 3 messasmit over nothing else…….

Tuesday 16th a good day artillery fire during the night ours , fairly quite all day…..
Wednesday 17th artillery during the night nothing during day……..
Thursday 18th rain all day also artillery on and off………
Friday 19th March again rain all day…

Saturday 20th rain on and off our artillery sending a good many shells over…
Sunday 21st better weather not much here…..
Monday 22nd weather improved our artillery sent over 1hr barrage last night…..
Tuesday 23rd weather very hot ,no German planes some Fortresses flew over…..
Wednesday 24th a very hot day some Fortresses over and a few messsasmits….
Thursday 25th weather still fine , usual artillery fire….
Friday 26th just the same as yesterday…….
Saturday 27th still the same…….
Sunday 28th weather still fine usual artillery some dive bombers over Meagez not near enough to us…..
Monday 29th weather fair artillery sent over 17000 rounds from 6am to 6.30 pm in support of reco
Tuesday 30th weather still fair few messasmit over nothing much else….
Wednesday 31st weather wet nothing much apart from shelling……..
