I was a little girl in Worcester during the war; in Ombersley Road.
I remember the sky going black with aircraft and the loud noise as they droned over. We couldn鈥檛 go into the shelter because it flooded but German prisoners of war came to take it down. They made bracelets and toys out of coloured wire for us children. They missed their families. The adults didn鈥檛 like the kids going out when they were around.
