In the war I was very young. I was only five years old when the war ended, but I still remember what life was like during the war.
I was not evacuated myself because I lived in a village. But some evacuesse came to our village and lived in the school!
My mother had to trie very hard to make good meals for us. I didn't notice the rationing because I didn't know any different! We only got one bar off toffee a week and the only fruit we had was grown in this country, like apples, plumbs, rasberries and stawberries. At the end of the wa
