One Sunday morning my Dad said "Let's Cycle over to Springfield & see Uncle Ted at Springfield Green".

On arriving we were shocked to find their Bungalow in ruins and a huge crater in the back garden next to the Tulip Public House.

Uncle Ted had been out with the Fire Services during the raid and Aunt Nel & Family were saved by the strong kitchen table that provided the cover.
