I had two brothers who went away.
Both did come back.
The one who went to Burma kept a diary.
One day they were on the run and someone got caught on barbed wire. My brother - Arnold - ran back to help.
It was lucky he did because he avoided being bombed by going back.
My brothers did send photographs and letters back to us but it was rare.
