I remember the sombre pronouncement by Neville Chamberlain on September 3rd 1939 that England was at war with Germany.I was 14 years old and viewed this news with mixed feelings of anxiety and excited anticipation. This was something different in my easy,safe and secure life.On that day I did`nt know how different.
