I joined the WAAF in 1942. Picture taken at Morecombe where I learnt to march. After leaving a trade at Marksham Wiltshire, I was posted to RAF Hudson Hertfordshire, where I served until taken ill with pneumonia and then TB in August 1943. I did however reach the rank of leading Aircraft Woman.
