Sitting casualties

鈥淚 had the use of a car during the war in connection with a catering company I
was running in Dover. I was instructed however that I could only get permission to run the car if I were prepared to pick up what were described as 鈥渟itting casualties.鈥� This story was considered very funny in pubs and clubs because none of us had ever heard of 鈥渟itting casualties鈥�. Like other people I had never heard of 鈥渟itting casualties.鈥� Casualties were either laid out or 鈥渞unning like Hell.鈥�
