Rescue: Dodging Enemy Fire in France

this is the story of my grandad and his brave recue of some nuns and orphans .this was in the thick of thing of the fighting .
there were germans in the street of the reagion of alsa lorain in france.
my grandad doged the enamey fire and manage to get the nuns and the orphans to safty and out of the line of fire .he got shot in the arm and spent time in millatry hospital after the war he got awarded the lorain cross and got thank from the mare.
my grandad got throught the war doing dunkirk and normandy landings and got many awards .
he finaly got the B.E.M in 1987 and he did lots of work for the brish leagion .
he saddly died in 1998 and i still miss him he was a hearo to me .
